This Privacy Policy explains how Mega Ride LLC ("Mega Ride," "we," "us"), a Mega Tickets USA company, collects, uses, shares, retains and protects information when you use the Mega Ride rider app, the Mega Ride driver app, and www.megarideusa.com (together, the "Services").
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — your name, email address and phone number when you create an account or apply to drive.
- Booking details — pickup and drop-off addresses, dates and times, service type, passenger count, flight/vessel details and any notes you add to a reservation.
- Saved places & preferences — home/work/favorite addresses and ride preferences you choose to save.
- Driver onboarding (driver app) — documents such as driver license, vehicle insurance and a profile photo submitted for approval.
- Communications — messages you exchange with your chauffeur or our dispatch team, and support requests.
Information collected automatically
- Location — while you are using the app, we use device location to show your vehicle on the live map and to route pickups and drop-offs. The driver app publishes the chauffeur's live location during an active ride. We do not track location in the background.
- Device & usage data — device identifiers, app version, and basic usage/diagnostic data to operate and improve the Services.
2. How we use information
- To create and manage your account and process your reservations.
- To dispatch chauffeurs, show live tracking, and enable in-app messaging.
- To provide customer support and send service messages (e.g. booking confirmed, chauffeur assigned, on the way) by push, SMS or email.
- For safety, fraud prevention, and to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- To fulfill your ride — with the assigned chauffeur and our dispatch team (e.g. your name, pickup/drop-off and contact number).
- With service providers who process data on our behalf, including Google Firebase (database, authentication), Google Maps (mapping/routing), Twilio (SMS verification and notifications) and, where in-app card payments are enabled in the future, Stripe (payment processing).
- For legal reasons — to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
4. Data retention & account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Rider app: Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete account. Driver app: More → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and removes your profile, saved places, preferences and membership.
After deletion we may retain a limited set of completed-trip and transaction records where required for tax, accounting, safety or legal compliance, after which they are deleted or anonymized. You can also request deletion or a copy of your data by emailing support@megarideusa.com.
5. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, authenticated access, least-privilege rules) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
6. Children
The Services are intended for adults 18 and older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your choices
- Manage location permission in your device settings.
- Adjust notification preferences in the app (ride updates, receipts, promotions).
- Access or delete your account as described above.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by notice in the app.
